Shuttle SH67H3 Ivy Bridge

May 13, 2012

Shuttle has a new Ivy Bridge BIOS v 202, with a modified uCode and SMBIOS.

uCode basically identifies the processor in the BIOS

SMBIOS is System Management BIOS which addresses how motherboard and system vendors present management information about their products in a standard format by extending the BIOS interface on Intel architecture systems.

The IVY Bridge BIOS updates have to be installed using DOS mode only, so I thought I’d post the link for creating a DOS bootable Flash drive.   How to create a DOS bootable Flash drive.

NOTE:  This BIOS update is only for an SH67H3/7 with a “version 2” motherboard.
See my prior posts on how to tell which version motherboard you have and if you want to upgrade to the “Version 2” motherboard (for US customers only).

For those that don’t have an SH67H3 you can purchase one here with the “Version 2” motherboard Ivy Bridge support for $249.99.
